Actually I've thought about putting some bone-crafted steering wheel in it, along with some crazy custom Baba Yaga figure. Even though she flew around in a pot and lived in a chicken legged house, I don't think she'd deny a ride in this 4-legged skull of maximum groovdom.

Out of curiosity, have you ever read orson scott card's book "enchantment"? He based it on a lot of the fairy tales/myths from russia, including baba yaga, who plays quite a part in the book.

I've had a lifelong fascination with the witch from Russia. That would be a killer idea.

I usually wait until after Halloween to pick up whatever foam gargoyles or stuffed rats go on clearance. I didn't get any last year, though, and I don't really have the room anymore. I've also had to seperate myself from my love of skulls, too...for sanity reasons.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Oh I've definitely heard of OSC but I never read his work before. I may have to grab it, I used to love reading about the old cultural mythic creatures as a kid. I constantly rechecked out this "A-Z of legendary creatures" (paraphrasing the title here). Baba was there, among all these obscure entities from all sorts of foriegn cultures, right down to Japan and the Middle East. Plus it had pictures! And as a kid that was a good idea for a monster book.

Same goes for Brian Froud's Fairy book, but I'm sure everyone knows that book by now.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">You guys have a Big Lots up there? If so the skull bowls are only $5. If not then there's always the Ed Gein craft book for making a homemade version.

Cinnamon hearts at halloween? What do you guys do for Valentines- ghostly santa candies?
